OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display is 0.96" and has a resolution of 128 * 64 pixels. It uses a standard (configurable) serial interface for communication.By default the module is configured to use an SPI interface for serial interface but can be modified (soldering required) to communicate via I2C protocol. OLED is a self light-emitting technology composed of a thin, multi-layered organic film placed between an anode and cathode. In contrast to LCD technology, OLED does not require a backlight. OLED possesses high application potential for virtually all types of displays.
